UV Light Disinfection System

DEC uses UV light for sterilization and disinfection. Ultraviolet (UV) means “beyond violet” and refers to a range of electromagnetic waves with a shorter wavelength (higher frequency and energy) than the visible violet light. UV is divided into three types with reducing wavelengths and increasing energy. For UV sterilization, only UVC has high enough energy to effectively kill microorganisms which the center is equipped with.

Studies have shown that UVC is effective against all foodborne pathogens, natural microbiota, molds, and yeasts. Basically, it can kill all kinds of microorganisms, including drug resistant bacteria.

Infection control and prevention is one of the top priorities of Dental Experts Center so this technological advancement will surely benefit the community we are serving especially during times where emerging new diseases and pathogens arise.
